New Wonders for Mystery CASE
So I have had this beautiful hostess set for many months now. I think I may have stamped with it once so far. And it just needed to played with. So I made another sample using this weeks Mystery CASE Card.
I did this one as a photo blog, because I was doing a lot of coloring with my BLENDS and fussy cutting with my paper snips. So instead of a very long video, I have the photo progression for you instead.
I hope you enjoy this project. These little fairies are just too cute! You still have time to earn your own set before the end of the catalog June 2nd. You just need to place a qualifying order of $150.
New Wonders Project Progression
So to start, we gather our materials. And get our cardstock cut to the measures given in the CASE. OF course, you can always adjust them as needed if your images are larger.
You can see that I first stamped the background with the Versa-mark ink. I used only the leaf portion of the stamp, and stamped the image on the corners and between the corners on the front of my Purple Posy card base.
Now I stamped the image of the fairy pulling the page back, with Memento ink on the Shimmery White cardstock. I stamped it twice, so that one can be cut out and popped up on the other for dimension.
Now it was time to color my image with my BLENDS.
- LIGHT PURPLE POSY – the page and the wings, and the hearts and stars in the background
- DARK PURPLE POSY – her dress top
- LIGHT HIGHLAND HEATHER – he dresses skirt
- IVORY – for her skin tone
- LIGHT CRUMB CAKE – hair
- DARK SOFT SEA FOAM – leaves
Now trim out one of the fairies with the paper snips. Removing the background and the leaves.
Time to layer our panels. The first layers are all put together with the snail. The second fairy is added with dimensionals. Then the completed panel is stamped with the sentiment with the Memento Ink. Finally add the image panel to the face of your card.
Here we have the front and inside of the card stamped with our sentiments.
I decided to stamp the leaf portion again on the corner of my envelope with the Memento Ink. Then I colored the leaves again with the Soft Sea Foam BLEND. To keep the blend my bleeding through to the back of the envelope, I slipped a plastic sheet inside the envelope before coloring. The plastic sheet is what comes in our stamp set boxes. I have also used an dimensional sheet, after all the dimensionals have been used up.
