Simple Stamping with Dove of Hope | #MCC27
Welcome to Monday Stampers! So you may be a little confused, the banner image is clearly of the Joy to the World stamp set images, not Dove of Hope? But I titled this post Simple Stamping with Dove of Hope, because that is where today’s card idea came from.
In addition to be a simple stamping project, it is also a background stamping project. Which happens to be this week’s Mystery CASE Challenge Theme for #MCC27. And this week, there isn’t anything special needed. Just pull out a stamp set, some cardstock and ink!
Dove of Hope Inspiration Project
So first let me you in the inspiration card project. This is one of three projects that Stampin’ Up! shared with their demonstrators about a week ago. I am going to use all three projects as my inspiration cards for this week. I wanted to revisit background stamping with all of you, and it just happen to drop in my inbox at the right time.
Now you may be thinking that this card doesn’t really seem like a typical “background” stamping card. And I would agree with you. We tend to think of background stamping as a way to fill space, add texture with ink, or create a foundation to then place a focal point embellishment on top of!
This project, has larger images, repeated images that could be considered the focal point. I think that is a cool twist on how I usually share background stamping. Watch the video I have for you, and I will share a couple of my own projects with you.
Stampin’ Show & Tell Video Demonstration – Joy to the World | Background Stamping for #MCC27
Ready to make some cards? So as you can see, this is a quick and simple project layout, that you could quickly make lots of cards. They could all be the same, say for the holiday’s and they would not take too much prep or too much time. Or they could be crafted for birthday’s using a variety of other stamp sets. Make yourself a bunch of cards to have on hand when needed, or give as a gift to someone else who always needs a card.
- Card Base – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
- Layer – 4 x 5 1/4 or 3 3/4 x 5 or 3 1/2 x 4 3/4
